Slot Insists He Feels Safe and Retains The Club's Support After PSV Eindhoven Humiliation
Arne Slot admitted that it's expected for concerns to be asked about his future following another heavy defeat against PSV Eindhoven.
The Reds endured their 9th loss in twelve games, marking the team's poorest streak since being relegated in the 1953-54 season.
They were taken apart by the Dutch league champions on a punishing night at Anfield.
“I feel secure, I'm fine, I've received plenty of support from management,” the coach remarked.
“It's important to change things and secure a win of course but if you are in a managerial role and struggling then it's expected that doubts arise.”
He continued, “I accept my position. It is not the initial instance I’ve been in a difficult position but it is about time that we turned it around.”
Discussions with Club Management
When asked to elaborate on his conversations with the Liverpool hierarchy, the head coach said:
“We talk a lot. They are helpful for the squad and for me and we discuss these matters but they don’t call me all the time each day to say they trust me.”
He further stated, “Through standard exchanges I sense the trust. However I've not talked to them since this match yet so we'll see.”

The manager lamented familiar failings from his team in their Champions League defeat, specifically poor finishing and defensive lapses.
Meanwhile, midfielder Jones was more direct in his evaluation of the club’s predicament.
“I don’t have the answers. Honestly, I don’t. I'm telling that to everybody,” Jones remarked.
“It’s just unacceptable. I don’t even have to wait to think about it. I’m past feeling anger internally. I’m at the point now where I just don’t have the vocabulary.”
He continued, “It’s hard because I’m playing for the club I love. I support them, and I've watched this club all my life.”
“In recent memory, I haven’t experienced a Liverpool team experiencing a spell like this with results like these.”
He stated, “However we continue to wear the emblem on our chest. And as long as that badge is taken away, we’re always going to battle.”
“We’re going to try to help the side back to where it needs to be, demonstrate to all again the values of this club and the reason it's called the best team in the planet.”
“At this moment, things are bad and we have to turn it around.”
