The Congressional oversight panel has made public a collection of roughly 70 images obtained from the property of late found guilty sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This represents the latest in a series of publication from a larger collection of in excess of 95,000 photographs the body has secured from Epstein's holdings. It features photographs of passages from the book Lolita written across a female's body, and obscured photos of female international passports.

This action arrives hours before the December 19th cut-off for the Justice Department to make public each records connected to its inquiry into Epstein.

"These new images pose more questions about exactly what the Justice Department has in its possession," remarked the senior Democrat of the committee, Robert Garcia.

Contents in the Images Released

Some of the photographs made public on Thursday feature Epstein in discussion with academic and activist Noam Chomsky on a private plane; Bill Gates positioned beside a individual whose face is obscured; Steve Bannon seated at a table facing Epstein, and ex- Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner event.

These are the most recent wealthy, influential individuals to be seen in Epstein estate images disclosed by the committee - previously published pictures also include US President Donald Trump and ex-president Bill Clinton, as well as film director Woody Allen, ex- US Secretary of the Treasury Larry Summers, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and additional individuals.

Being pictured in the photographs is is not considered indication of any wrongdoing, and many of the featured men have asserted they were never participating in Epstein's illegal activity.

In a statement issued alongside the photograph release, Lawmakers on the US House Oversight Committee noted the Epstein estate did not supply context or dates for the images.

"Photos were selected to furnish the general populace with transparency into a typical cross-section of the photos acquired from the estate, and to provide understanding into Epstein's associates and his extremely alarming behavior," the release states.

The disclosure also includes multiple photos of passages from the Vladimir Nabokov literary work Lolita penned in dark ink across several locations of a female's body, including her torso, feet, pelvis, and spine. Lolita narrates the account of a young girl who was manipulated by a middle-aged literature professor.

A particular passage from the work scrawled across a female's chest reads, "Lo-lee-ta: the point of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to alight, at three, on the teeth".

There are also a number of images of female passports and identification documents from nations around the world, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

A large portion of the data on the documents, such as identities and birth dates, is redacted but the committee said in a press release that the travel documents belong to "women whom Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators were engaging".

A further image features Epstein positioned at a workstation in close proximity surrounded by three female figures whose features have been censored - one has her hand on Epstein's upper body under his shirt, and another is crouching to look at a close-by device. Epstein appears to be aiding the third individual fasten a wristband.

A further photograph disclosed is a capture of digital messages from an unidentified individual who claims they have been provided "some girls" and are requesting "$1000 for each individual".

Photograph Release Comes Prior to DOJ Due Date

The panel has a vast number of photographs in its possession from the Epstein property, which are "at once disturbing and everyday," its press release on recently explained.

The oversight panel first legally compelled the property of Epstein, who passed away in a New York jail in 2019 while facing trial on allegations of sex trafficking, in August.

The photographs and records the Epstein estate provided to the committee are different than what is often called "the Epstein documents". Those are documents within the Department of Justice's custody associated with its separate inquiry into Epstein.

Under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which President Trump enacted in November, the DOJ has until 19 December to disclose its records. The scope of the contents found in the DOJ's records is unclear, and it's expected that much of the information will be extensively obscured, akin to House Oversight Committee documents
