Iranian Forces State Strike on American Facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Amid Regional Counterattacks.
Iranian forces say they have struck a US naval base in Manama, as the country executed operations throughout the Middle East in retaliation for a large-scale and ongoing assault against it by the US and Israel.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an area in the area of the command center of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The scope of any destruction is uncertain and the United States has not commented.
Regional Interceptions
In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - which all house American military installations - stated they have intercepted incoming projectiles in their air space.
In the Qatari capital, the Qatari Ministry of Defence announced it had intercepted several missiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.
IRGC Statement
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was attacking American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the attack on Iran carried out by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday.
That preceding assault - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far focused on sites linked to the the regime, with President Trump urging the Iranian people to rise up against the regime.
Regional Fallout
In Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israel Defense Forces said it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The defence ministry of the UAE stated that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses engaged the projectiles with notable success and successfully intercepted a several projectiles," the statement continued.
Officials reported debris fell on a neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, causing some structural damage and fatalities.
The US Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
